Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a critical component in most glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which have multiple functions within your horse's body. MSM aids to support equine joints, cartilage, and other connective tissues. Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) naturally in humans, as well as some green plants and animals. It can also be made in a lab. MSM is a bioavailable source of sulphur helping to maintain healthy skin, coat, and hoof walls.

Recommended serving

For horses recovering from acute soft tissue injury, top dress 10 - 20 g (10,000 - 20,000 mg) MSM per day.

This range depends upon the severity of the injury and the horse’s weight. The serving may be reduced as improvements are noted, and may be discontinued once the horse has fully recovered.

For horses suffering with symptoms of soft tissue trauma, give 5 - 15 g (5,000 - 15,000 mg) per day depending on weight, activity level, and degree of stress associated with discipline.

Adding vitamin C at 1,000-3,000 mg per 10,000 mg of MSM may obtain increased absorption of the MSM through the stomach into the bloodstream.
